Hotel

Hotel wedding venues in Spain are the operationally easiest choice. Guests sleep upstairs, the venue coordinator has done a thousand weddings, the kitchen doesn't need building from scratch. What you trade for that ease is total customisation.

Weddings in Hotel: What to Know

Three types worth knowing. Boutique country hotels (10 to 40 rooms) are the sweet spot for full buy-outs of 2 to 4 nights, especially in Mallorca, Costa Brava and Andalusia. Five-star coastal resorts (Marbella, Ibiza) do polished celebrations for larger guest counts. City palace hotels (Madrid, Seville, Barcelona) handle formal urban weddings.

The big compromise is the caterer. Almost every Spanish hotel operates its own kitchen and won't let outside catering in, for licensing and margin reasons. If you have a specific food vision, taste the hotel menus early. If the standard offering is good, it's usually excellent value.

Buy-out pricing is where hotels get interesting. Renting 20 rooms across two nights for exclusive use is often better per-guest than paying rack rates plus event space separately. We negotiate this whenever the guest count justifies it.

Common Questions

Hotel Wedding FAQ

Are hotel weddings less personal than private venues?+

Only if you let them be. The best hotel venues let you personalize florals, menu, timeline and layout completely. What you gain is the operational polish of a professional venue team.

Do we have to use the hotel's caterer?+

Almost always yes. Hotels operate their own kitchen for hygiene, licensing and revenue reasons. The upside: menus are usually excellent and tastings straightforward.

Can we take over the whole hotel?+

Yes, we frequently arrange buy-outs of boutique hotels (10 to 40 rooms) for 2 to 4 nights. This gives you total privacy and often better per-guest pricing than paying per-room retail.

What about noise limits at hotels?+

Hotels are stricter than private estates because of other guests (unless bought out). Most have soundproofed event spaces where the party runs late. We check limits during selection.
