The Process

From first message to your day

01

Read profiles

Every planner has a full profile with regions, languages, wedding types they cover and past weddings. Filter by region and language, shortlist the ones that fit your vision.

02

Free discovery call

Reach out to your top choice. Within 24 to 48 hours they reply and set up a free 20-minute call. No obligation. You compare styles and personalities before anyone signs anything.

03

They handle everything

When you hire them, they take over. Venue selection, supplier coordination, budget, guest logistics, day-of management. You show up and enjoy the wedding.

Our Standard

How We Vet Planners

Not every planner makes it onto this page. We only list professionals who meet these criteria.

Local & Based in Spain

Physically present in the region they cover. No remote coordinators, no long-distance planning.

Proven Portfolio

A track record of at least 30 destination weddings executed to a high standard, with real couple references we can call.

Multilingual

Fluent in English at minimum, plus one or more European languages depending on their guest base.

Independent

No hidden ties to specific venues or suppliers. Recommendations are made on fit, not on kickbacks.

How to Choose a Wedding Planner in Spain

Choosing the right wedding planner in Spain matters more than most couples realise. The venue is fixed, the caterer follows a spec, but the planner is who actually runs the day. A great one saves you months of stress and thousands of euros in avoidable mistakes. A weak one leaves you finishing their emails at 11pm the week before your wedding.

The most important filter is local presence. A wedding planner in Ibiza who lives in Ibiza knows the noise curfews, the licensed venues, the reliable caterers and the suppliers who deliver on time. A generic events planner working remotely from Madrid or London does not. Same rule for Mallorca, Barcelona, Marbella, Malaga and every other region on this site.

The second filter is language. If your guest list is international, your planner needs to communicate in your language, but also in Spanish (or Catalan, or German depending on the region) with vendors and municipal offices. Every planner listed here speaks at least English plus one local language.

The third is independence. Some planners are quietly tied to specific venues and push them regardless of fit. The planners we list are not tied to any single venue or supplier. Their recommendations are based on your budget, guest count and vision, nothing else.

Use the filters above to narrow by region and language. Read the bios, then contact one or two directly. Every planner offers a free discovery call, no obligation.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Wedding Venues Spain a wedding planning agency?+

No. We list venues and planners we personally know and trust. If you hire a planner shown here, you work directly with them, not through us.

How much does a wedding planner in Spain cost?+

It varies. Full-planning services typically range from €6,000 to €25,000 depending on region, wedding size and scope. Partial planning or month-of coordination is cheaper. Each planner will send you their own pricing after the discovery call.

Do I have to hire a planner shown here?+

Not at all. You can browse venues and plan independently. But if you want expert help, this page is where we send couples who ask us for a recommendation.

How far in advance should I hire a wedding planner?+

12 to 18 months before the wedding is ideal, especially for peak season (May to October). Popular planners book out fast, and the earlier they join, the more they can shape the venue selection.

Can a planner help with legal paperwork for marrying in Spain?+

Yes. Most planners in our directory handle civil ceremony paperwork or work with legal partners who do. Symbolic ceremonies (with legal formalities done separately) are the most common route for international couples.

What regions do your planners cover?+

Ibiza, Mallorca, Barcelona, Sitges, Malaga, Marbella, Madrid, Valencia and Alicante. Use the filter above to find planners for your specific region.
