Weddings in Villa: What to Know
Ibiza, Mallorca, the Costa Blanca and the Costa Brava are where the wedding-ready villas concentrate. Most sleep 10 to 30 on-site (parents, wedding party, siblings), with the rest of the guest list at nearby hotels. Villa selection usually starts from the accommodation question: who sleeps here.
The biggest villa-planning risk is licensing. Not every private property can legally host a wedding. Municipal rules vary by island and by year. This is why DIY villa weddings sometimes end with a police visit at 10pm. Every villa we shortlist has clean paperwork or a documented route to it.
Cost-wise the rental is usually cheaper than a hotel per night, but by the time you've added catering, rentals, staffing, marquee, generators and coordination, the total often lands similar to a mid-range hotel wedding. What you're actually buying is privacy and control, not savings.

How many people can stay at a wedding villa?+
Most villas sleep 10 to 30 in comfort. Larger estates go up to 60 across multiple houses. Overflow guests stay at nearby hotels, we coordinate transport.
What's included with a villa rental?+
Almost always: the villa itself, standard furniture, pool, kitchen access, sometimes basic staff. Rarely: wedding catering, marquees, extra tables/chairs, sound systems. We bring in a full production team.
Are villas cheaper than hotels?+
The rental itself often is (per night), but total wedding cost can be similar or higher because you're building the event from zero. The trade-off is total control and privacy.
Can villas legally host weddings?+
Some can, some cannot. Every villa we shortlist is legally licensed for events or has clear paperwork routes. This is the biggest DIY-planning risk with villas, we eliminate it.
